Another deadly, common illness during the Industrial Revolution was Anthrax. This disease was caused by the bacteria Bacillus Anthracis. In 1881 Louis Pasteur created the first vaccine. Anthrax can be airborne and is found in animal spores. In 1944, Penicillin was used to treat Anthrax.
